Ruth Ricks Bio

'Ruth Ricks: Tales of a Mixed Girl in Orange County', a chronicle of Ruth's adventures as an OC native and as an actress in Los Angeles, is an ever evolving project.

During her stint as a college student in Long Beach, CA, Ruth decided to make the theatre her life. Between classes in Non-verbal Communication and Recreational Studies, she had some of her favorite theatre experiences. She performed as a part of the CSULB University Players in 'For Colored Girls...' and 'The Colored Museum'. During those lean theatre years she also starred in 'Dark of the Moon', 'The Crucible' and 'Marisol'.

Since setting her sights on performing in front of the camera, Ruth has completed numerous film roles and the most noted being 'Triple Minority'. Since being completed, the film has screened across the United States and Europe, where it has been recognized as an audience favorite. It also aired on MTV's Logo network as a part of their 'Best in Short Film Series: Season 2'.

Ruth is currently auditioning, working and developing scripts.
